Gum Creek Project
OreNova produced the mechanical equipment package and Class 4 estimate for the Gum Creek Gold Project prefeasibility study, a gold processing plant built around a CIL circuit, in 13 days. Compared against the DFS on a like for like basis, our Capital Expenditure Estimate landed within 0.3% and our Operational Expenditure Estimate within 1.1%.
The package was produced from the client's flowsheet and design criteria: equipment sized and specified, then priced against OreNova's pricing database. Every deliverable was reviewed by multiple principal engineer prior to issue. The scope covered equipment sizing, datasheets, the mechanical equipment list, CapEx, OpEx and the basis of estimate.
Input: process definition.
Output: feasibility study.
mechanical design
An engagement starts with your flowsheet. We take the block flow diagram, the mass and water balance and the process design criteria, and work from those documents exactly as issued, so your basis of design carries straight through.
From there the equipment is sized and specified. Duties are calculated, equipment is selected against vendor data, and datasheets are produced in the formats your team already issues. That feeds the mechanical equipment list, the process flow diagrams and the 3D model, so the engineering and the drawings stay in step rather than being reconciled at the end.
The estimate is built on the same equipment list. Pricing comes from OreNova's database or from yours, and the CapEx, OpEx and basis of estimate are prepared to AACE 18R-97 Class 4. Every deliverable is reviewed by a principal engineer before it is issued, and the package is handed over under your cover.
The programme shown is the full scope, run end to end by OreNova. Most engagements finish well inside four weeks.
